Why are my edits not being exported?

Full question:
I am having trouble exporting saved changes that I have made within GenomeView. For example, I have an .embl file and I changed the coordinates for some genes. However, when export the data and try to re-open the file the changes have not been captured.
Answer:
The export functionality exports the original data files and will never contain your changes.
You want to use 'save annotation', this will pop-out a new dialog that lets you pick a file and what exactly you want to save.
